In 2006, Peace and St. Paul merged to form Faith Lutheran Church. In 2007, Faith began worship services in Black River Falls, WI as a mission outreach while maintaining services in Cataract. In 2011, Faith was blessed to build a new worship facility in Black River Falls. He’s been carrying out his ministry here at Eastside since 2015.

Pastor David Horton was born in Kenosha, WI, to Thomas & Madeline Horton. He graduated from Northwestern/Luther Prep in 1996. Pastor Horton entered Martin Luther College in the teacher program and graduated in 2001 from the pre-seminary pastor program. He then worked for nearly four years at a WELS-affiliated school, Calvary Academy in South Milwaukee. Calvary Academy specialized in educating and counseling children in challenging situations. He taught High School History and Algebra while there. During his seminary years, Pastor would
spend his vicar year at St. Paul, Tomah, WI, summer vicar in St. Petersburg, FL, and graduate
from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in the class of 2009.
Pastor David Horton was assigned to Zion, Morton, MN, a city and a church rich in history in the Minnesota River Valley until February of 2015. He then accepted a divine call to Beautiful Savior, Petoskey, MI, the “home of the million-dollar sunsets” until his arrival here at Eastside. Pastor has many loves including the Badgers, the Bucks, the Brewers, and the Buccaneers (and
the Packers). He also loves to travel. He spent a summer in Israel on an archaeological dig site at Tel Aviv-Yafo (Biblical Joppa) on the shores of the Mediterranean in the summer of 1999. He taught English for a summer at Chang Young Christian University in Tainan, Taiwan, in 2001.
And he loves spending time with his family. He is the oldest of four children (Daniel Horton, Jacqueline Pancheri, Rebecca Naumann) and has eight nephews and nieces of various ages in both Wisconsin and Michigan.
A few weeks ago, a very special lady, Gina, agreed to become Pastor’s wife. Gina, and her daughter, Coral, currently live in Verona. They are all very excited to be a family. And they are all very excited to become part of the Eastside family as well. Pastor can’t wait to share the gospel peace Jesus gives us at our church, at our school, and with our community. To God be all thanks and praise and glory!
