Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School has become somewhat of a tradition. One can fInd VBS in session most anytime during the summer vacation months in a city such as ours. At Eastside the VBS is used both as a mission arm in the community as well as an intensive study period. As a mission arm it draws the childrer of the neighborhood at a time when the summer hours have become boring and acquaints them with a well rounded unit of Bible study. Since the amount of time allotted is more generous than Sunday School, intensive study and relaxed activity can be planned together for a profitable week. The VBS service in which the children participate, brings the non~member parents a bit closer to the scene also. Just as our foreparents saw the need, we have continued to place a big emphasis on educating our children under guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Again by God's Grace we have had the privilege of a Christian education for all these years and we will continue as long as we, a congregation, abide by Christ's command, "FEED MY LAMBS."
