The very fIrst form of education for the children of our congregation in the leaming of God's word is found in the Sunday School.  It was established almost immediately upon organization of this congregation.  Although it was never meant to be a substitute for the day school, it has been a useful in imparting religious instruction to those children who cannot attend the day school.  The Synod has spent much time and effort to produce its own Christ-centered Sunday School materials.  So our Sunday School has retained its Bible School emphasis over the years.  Age-appropriate materials on each level offer boys and girls an overview of God's plan for salvation in an orderly sequence.  Each and every year the Sunday School of Eastside has been blessed with capable and faithful teachers and dedicated helpers.  Without them the program could not have succeeded in nurturing our children with God's word over these 75 years. During Sunday School Hour there are a number of Bible classes for the adults.  Many parents avail themselves of this opportunity to search the Scriptures and also assure their youngsters that the study of God's Word is a must for every age.
