MUSIC –

 

JUNIOR CHOIR – Junior Choir will sing for the last time this Sunday, May 17^th, at the 8:00 a.m. service. We will meet at 7:30 a.m. to run through our music. Everyone should wear dark/black shoes. Ladies may wear a dress, skirt and dress shirt, or nice pants and a dress shirt. Gentlemen are asked to wear dress pants and a dress shirt with a tie. Thank you. 

GRADUATION SERVICE – Wednesday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. All students will participate in the service that evening. Report cards will be given out to students after the service. Reminder: No final grade reports will be issued to any student or parent if any fees are still owed. Everyone is invited downstairs in the fellowship hall after the service to celebrate with our graduates.

 

EARLY DISMISSAL – Thursday, May 21, at 11:30 a.m. This is the last day of school.

 

LUNCH TICKETS – Thursday, May 14, will be the last day children need lunch tickets. Friday, May 15, is EJO Day and there will be a free-will offering.

REMINDER– Registration materials for the 2009-2010 school year were sent home on Monday, April 27, for the 2009-2010 school year. They were to be completed and returned to the school office by Friday, May 1. As of today, we have not received registration forms for all students. If you have not handed in your forms, would you please give this your immediate attention and return them to the school office TOMORROW. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Eastside Lutheran School.

BUCKY BOOK & ENTERTAINMENT BOOK COUPONS! – Please save your unwanted Bucky Book and Entertainment Book coupons and bring to the Childcare room ASAP! They will help us in our Summer Care Activities!! Some coupons that will be especially useful to us are: Fast food, Marcus Theatres (esp. for Kiddie Combos), Pizza, Madison Children’s Museum, Ultrazone, Fast Forward, Bowl-A-Vard, Boulder’s Climbing Gym, Alley Oops-Dream Lanes, Ella’s Deli, and Little A-Merrick-A.  Any and all other coupons are welcome as well!  Thank you for helping out our program!

CHILDCARE PAYMENTS –

Dear Families:

The school year is rapidly coming to a close. Just a reminder, according to School Board Policy, your childcare balance must be paid in full in order for you to receive your child’s report card. In order to make this as easy as possible, we will send out statements on Wednesday, May 20th. This statement will include all charges through Tuesday, May 19th. Any remaining balances will be sent home in a statement the morning of May 21st. You may estimate your charges for Wednesday and Thursday morning and pay ahead. You are able to carry a credit balance into the summer or the next school year. Our office will be open for you to make payments until 11:30 a.m. and again before and after the graduation service. Feel free to contact Laurie Kamin with any questions or concerns (244-3045).

BOX TOPS NEWS – On May 15 (EJO Day) the Box Tops store will be open upstairs in room 200 after lunch. If you need more sheets, they are located in the Box Tops bin. Thanks for collecting.

 

  

SOCCER/BIBLE CAMP-COMMUNITY CANVASS – Part of Eastside’s mission is to “tell of Jesus’ love.”  Our second annual Soccer/Bible Camp, entitled “The Wonderful Cross” is a perfect way to do just that.  In order to get the word out to our community, we are having a canvass on Saturday morning, May 16^th, from 9:30 a.m. – Noon.  No “Apostle Paul evangelism skills” are necessary; just two functioning legs and a desire to connect our neighbors to their Savior.  We will pass out camp brochures and then enjoy a pizza lunch together back at Eastside.  Please help us reach our goal of 80 kids at this year’s camp.  See you on May 16^th!

KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT FOR 2009-2010 – If you are interested in enrolling your child in Kindergarten at Eastside Lutheran School for the 2009-2010 school year, or if you know somebody who may be interested, please contact the school office (244-3045). Children entering Kindergarten must be 5-years-old before 9/1/09 and tested by Eastside personnel.
