SINGERS! – HERE’S SOMETHING NEW TO CONSIDER

It’s time to rev up our voices again and prepare special music to sing to the Lord. We’re going to try something new this year in Chancel Choir. While some singers like to sing for the whole singing season, and that’s wonderful, some of you cannot commit to such a long time. But what if you could only commit to that part of the year when you are in town or when your schedule allows it? To give you a chance to sing for just part of the year without feeling you are letting the choir down the rest of the time, I’m going to divide the season into five sessions. If, for instance, you would like to sing for the Christmas session, rehearsals will start on Wednesday, December 3 after the evening Advent services and continue each week until Christmas. Except for Advent and Lent, when choir rehearsal are after the midweek services, rehearsals are on Wednesday evening at 7:00 in the church. The sessions will be as follows:

Session 1

Rehearsals begin September 17

Singing dates: Sept 28 - 8am

Oct 26- 8 & 10:45am (Mission Festival)

Nov 16 – 10:45 am

Nov 26 – 6:30pm (Thanksgiving Eve)

Dec 3 – 6:30pm (Advent Midweek 1)

Session 2

Rehearsals begin Dec 3

Singing dates: December 14 – 8am

December 24 – 8:30pm (Christmas Eve Candlelight)
