Please read the following information about our childcare program.

 

Our school offers a variety of extended care options to suit the needs of individual families.  This program is available to all children enrolled in a program at Eastside Lutheran School.   Childcare will begin on the first day of school and run parallel to the academic school year.  Childcare begins at 7:00am and consists of an adult supervised area for children who need care before the school day begins.  Childcare is available through out the day until 5:30pm. 

 

We encourage you to use the breakfast program.  The breakfast kits include cereal with milk, graham crackers and a juice box for $1.75. It is available until 8:00am.

 

Our rate for all students is $3.50 per hour for students in Kindergarten through 8^th grade, $3.75 for Preschool Students.  There is also an UNLIMITED care package of $35.00 per week per child for grades K-8.  A child signed up for this package may attend an unlimited number of childcare hours during the week for before and after school childcare.  This package is available when school is in session during a 5-day week.  It is not available during weeks with half days or days off.   Families must indicate on their attendance calendar that they want this special rate.  Attendance calendars will be included in your bi-weekly billing, or are available from the Early Childhood office.  Calendars are required to be returned to the Early Childhood office by the Friday prior to the week childcare is needed.  Any changes made in your child’s attendance can be made by calling our office, or by completing a schedule change form.   There is a $2.50 per child no show/drop-in fee for a half-day and $5.00 for a whole day if your child attends and is not on our schedule or they are scheduled and do not attend. 

 

If you try to reach the Childcare between 3:00pm and 4:00pm, please be patient.  We are attending to the needs of our students.   Please call 244-3045 first, and if you are unsuccessful, please try back on our cell phone at 219-8488.  If we are not available, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.  

 

There is a $3.00 per minute late fee for students picked up after our closing time at 5:30pm.  More than 2 late pick-ups in a 30-day period (after we close) will cause you to lose your right to use the childcare program for 2 weeks.

 

All students using the Childcare Program must have an up to date registration form on file.  These forms are available in the Childcare room.   Also available on Enrollment day are calendars so you can indicate when your child will be attending Childcare.  It is important to complete both forms so that we can anticipate your child’s attendance, contact you in event of an emergency and to avoid late and drop in fees.  Please watch for your billing information, sent home with your child every other Monday, for next month’s calendar as well as important announcements about our Childcare Program and the availability of childcare on days off school.

 

Payments may be dropped off in the Early Childhood Office or deposited in the locked black box outside of the Childcare entrance.  Visa, Mastercard and Discovery cards are accepted.  Please make sure your account is kept current to avoid a $25.00 late fee.  Bills are sent home every other Monday and are due the following Monday, or if your child is in Preschool, the first day of the week that your child attends.  Failure to keep your account current can result in the loss of your right to use the childcare program.
