Program Goals

The overall goal of our program is to provide early
learning experiences that assist parents in nurturing the
spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social
development of young children. We believe this goal
can be reached when children learn by doing hands-on,
active, experiences that are developmentally appropriate
for young children. We further believe children develop
best when all experiences occur in an atmosphere of
Christian love, care, trust, and respect.

Specifically, these goals are accomplished:

• with activities that exercise children’s bodies,
• with experiences and stories that encourage
children to explore God’s world, to solve problems,
and to express feelings,
• with a social environment that encourages children
to play and talk with each other and with adults,
• with teachers who recognize the individuality of
each child’s abilities and needs.

Preschool Programs

3- year Old Program

• Monday and Tuesday mornings(8:15am-11:00am)
• Open to children who are toilet-trained and turn
three before September 1

4-year Old Program

• Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings
(8:15am-11:00am)
• Open to children who are toilet-trained and turn
four before September 1

Mixed Age Group Program

• Three days/week sessions available: Monday/
Tuesday/Wednesday afternoons (12:15pm-3:00
pm) OR Wednesday/Thursday/Friday afternoons
(12:15pm-3:00pm)
• Five days a week afternoons (12:15pm-3:00pm)
also available
• Open to children who are toilet-trained and turn
three before September 1

Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
Please contact the preschool teacher in regards to
which sessions are currently available.

Childcare is available to all children enrolled in Preschool
or Day School at Eastside Lutheran School, for an hourly
fee. Childcare begins on the first day of school and runs
parallel to the academic school year. Hours of operation
are from 7:00am to 5:30pm. Our experienced staff offers
children the opportunity to play individually or with peers
in a variety of activities. Nutritious snacks are served.
Hot lunch is available for an additional fee. Further details
outlining our childcare program are available on request.
