Who:
When:
A greeter's schedule is mailed every six months and each greeter choses the service they wish to greet, either Sunday early service, Sunday late service, or Monday night service.

About:
Purpose
- In Christian love, as the body of Christ, we will provide a welcome, friendly and loving atmosphere for both visitors and members alike in order to encourage their return and also to stimulate growth in fellowship and love among members
Objectives
- Have greeters available 10-15 minutes before the service and 5-10 minutes after services to greet everyone
- Make each visitor feel welcome, wanted and glad they came
- Reduce intimidation and fear of the unknown in visitors by providing information and a friendly presence
- Encourage Spirit-filled worship by providing and ecouraging a loving atmosphere
- Develop and maintain congregational awareness of visitors and their needs
- Develop methods of identifying visitors
Goals
- Schedule greeters for each service
- Set a good example with a cheerful Good Morning and a friendly smile and handshake for everyone.
- If possible, spend a moment in conversation with a visitor, asking about background, both secular and spiritual
- If possible, direct any visitor (or member) to brochures located in the Narthex that contain pertinent information about Christianity, WELS, Eastside Church and School, and Worship procedures, or direct them to the Pastor(s) or Vicar
- Please, consider one extra Special Holiday Service. Sign up sheet is located in the office next to the Greeters name badges
Time Commitment:
An average greeter is 4-5 times per year
