Our Boards
Spiritual Team and Business Team
Eastside’s Spiritual Team consists of Spiritual Chairman, Outreach Chairman, School Board Committee Chairman, and Discipleship Chairman.
Eastside’s Business Team consists of our Church President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Board of Administration Chairman. The groups are charged with establishing and promoting the mission of our congregation: to Grow in Jesus and Tell of his Love. The groups meet monthly to make sure the ministry of the congregation is being carried out.
School Board Committee
The School Board Committee exists to help our congregation manage the wonderful gift we have in our Lutheran School. This committee helps to set the direction for the school so that we can carry out our mission to assist parents in bringing up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Discipleship
The Discipleship Committee educates and encourages all members in their use of Time, Talents and Treasures. They do this through overseeing all of the Bible Classes and Bible Study Curriculum to foster spiritual growth, promoting Financial Stewardship, training Members for Ministry, helping coordinate volunteers, providing opportunities for Fellowship, and helping new members become an active part of the Congregation.
This also includes overseeing Youth Bible and Vacation Bible Studies, promoting the Family Ministry to help families nurture the next generation, overseeing the Sunday School program, providing Christ centered educational classes, and initiating youth fellowship events.
Spiritual Care Committee
The Spiritual Care Committee assists the pastors in caring for the spiritual needs of the congregation. This includes making sure the Word and Sacraments are being proclaimed on a weekly basis, that worship is done in a fitting and orderly way, and also reaching out to the straying or lost sheep of the congregation.
Outreach
The Board of Outreach exists to provide opportunities for the members of Eastside to invite their friends, relatives, and neighbors to hear the good news of Jesus. The Board organizes three different Vacation Bible School events throughout the year, including a week long Soccer Bible Camp. The Board also supplies welcome bags for our worship visitors.
Administration
The Board of Administration maintains the property of Eastside, both inside and out. They make sure that maintenance items are addressed and are also responsible for proposing the budget for Eastside’s ministry.
